Taking Primary Hypertension Medication For Life
The task my doctor faced was prescribing the the best Primary Hypertension Medication for an 80 year old man who had a medical condition that is considered as one of the medical mysteries.
After the appropriate drug was prescribed, I was told that I would have to take medication the rest of my life.
This - That - Another
Medical science has defined and diagnosed Primary Hypertension as a Chronic Disease or an Illness or a Sickness.
Actually, it is none of those diagnoses - Hypertension is a Symptom , a sign or an indication of an existing Disease, Illness or Sickness within the body, mind, soul or spirit - more on this under Hypertension True Definition.
Treating A Mysterious Disease Having Two Medically Unknowns
It was in 2006, when my doctor told me that I had Primary Hypertension, also known as The Silent Killer a Chronic Disease - no medically known cause or cure and I would have to be on medication for life.
Time To Take My High Blood Pressure Medicine
So the doctor immediately started prescribing my Primary Hypertension Medications as the following:
- Amlodipine - 5 MG - once daily - for blood pressure - I took this medication for a short period of time - after this was Lisinopril -
- Lisinopril - 20 MG - once daily - for blood pressure - I took this medication for a short period of time before I was put on Atenolol exclusively.
- Atenolol - 25 MG - once daily - later increased to 50MG - once daily for blood pressure - I took this medication from May, 2007 until March 15, 2009.
Recapping My Prescription Drug Experience
(Good, Bad and Unknown) The Good aspects of medication were:
- A decrease in my blood pressure.
